Your First Visit
Patient Forms
Upon entering our office our receptionist will greet you and welcome you as a member of our family. We will request you fill our some forms related to your health and current condition. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition that will be the starting point for your discussion with Dr. Homonai.
Consultation
Next you will have a consultation with Dr. Homonai, to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed for Dr. Homonai to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care will help you meet your goals. Your doctor will ask you more specific questions concerning your health and any specific injuries you may be suffering from. This consultation will allow the doctor to gain insight about what injuries you may have and allow him to decide what type of examination or x-rays may be necessary in order to correctly diagnose your condition.
Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Homonai will obtain your consent to perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard neurologic, orthopedic, postural, and physical examinations.
X-Ray Studies
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays in order to to get a full evaluation of your spine. X-rays allow the doctors to rule out serious conditions and assist them in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Most patients are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify areas of misalignments and degeneration themselves. X-ray studies also allow the doctor to determine if you would be a candidate for rehabilitative care as there are often structural problems detected on x-ray that would otherwise go untreated and undiagnosed until the problem was much worse.
